Japan - A day at Shibuya

For those who have been reading my blog for years, March is always my vacation month (for my birthday celebration!! ^.^) Last year I went to Hong Kong and it was an awesome trip. This year, guess what, my man decided to grant his girl's dream and brought his girl to Japan!!! *still pinching myself whether this is real even thou I am back from the trip*

We departed from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo Haneda on 12th March and reached there at 10.30pm (GMT+9). Japan is an hour ahead of Malaysia. Instead of taking cab, which could easily cost RM500 at that hour; we took bus to Shibuya, which cost about 1600 yen (approximately RM57) for 2 persons.

The weather was shockingly cold, no, freezing at about 5 Celsius. I wasn't wearing any long johns nor gloves that time. I was only wearing my Winter Time jacket, dragging my luggage, walked and searched about 15 minutes before we found our Airbnb house. The house was small but decent, most importantly, very convenient. We settled our supper with two cup noodles and warm green tea at Mini Stop; and also bought some necessities such as heat pack and hand gloves. After the supper, we walked around Shibuya streets and headed back home to get some good rest.

Simply can't wait for next day! :)

Okay, self explanatory with the paper bag that I am holding and the background of this photo. Yes, spent about RM700++ for Hello Kitty loots, and also Gudetama and Doraemon souvenirs for my ex-colleagues. All the Hello Kitty merchandises are irresistible and too cute to not bring them home.

Enjoyed incredible Shibuya view from 11th floor sky lobby at Hikarie building. Perfect for us who visited Tokyo for the first time. The window is non-reflective hence no worries on the photos quality.

I love how they displayed the items on each floor near the staircase, to feature what are the items selling at this particular floor.

My little panda found his friends here!! Very cute songs with some dance movement. Oh yeah, I am trying to dance together. And yeah, no shame at all. No one knows me anyway. :p

The Muji store here is selling bicycle too!

Always thought Rakuten is just an online shopping website. They have Rakuten Cafe here!

#20
Limited time only - Starbucks Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Frappuccino and Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Latte. I thought these are going to be very sweet but surprisingly no! Very good flavored beverages! You should visit this particular Starbucks to oversee Shibuya Crossing, but always full house, good luck.

He was complaining that the couple shot above didn't featured much of our matching tees. So here you go - Adidas Originals by Neighbourhood Co.

My shopping loots from Shibuya. Loving those adorable patterned socks from Doll Kiss, cheap and chic. :)

* Do take note that most of the stores closed at 9pm, an hour earlier than Malaysia's stores. This is kinda sad as there is nothing much to do after 9pm unless you go to Izakaya (Japanese gastropub).

Besides that, there is free Wi-Fi service at certain Shibuya areas for foreign tourists. You can receive your ID and password after presenting your passport at information desks at Shibuya Station (B1 & B2), Shibuya Hikarie (2F & B3), Tokyu Department Store Toyoko Store (1F & 5F), Shibuya 109 (1F) and Tokyu Department Store main store (1F). My Wi-Fi device provided by the host of Airbnb was sucks. Do check with your host on the so-called 'Unlimited data' to avoid the same issue that we faced.

Next post I will share about the food that I had in Shibuya. Stay tune. ;)
