Mercedes-Benz STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL 2012- Rapunzel in Paris of the East

Last week i have attended the Mercedes-Benz STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL 2012 at Thean Hou Temple. Yeah, you did not read it wrong, is Thean Hou Temple. How interesting can it be to have such fashion events at a temple?? Seriously, i don't know what to expect. Hence, i was so curious and exciting to find it out. ;)

On March 20th, Kronenbourg L'Aperitif Fashion presents

"Rapunzel in Paris of the East
featuring A Cut Above, Lois Lee & Emerging new design talents

Kassandra Kassim, the emcee together with Dato Jimmy Choo, Amber Chia, Andrea Fonseka, and Keith Kee at the opening of the show.

Mr Soren, the Managing Director of Carlsberg giving his speech and expressed his curiosity on how on earth can beer related to fashion. LOL.

Carven Ong, presented his new collection.

I love this blue dress with sexy cutout design at the front. <3

The white gown on the second left is perfect as wedding gown!! I would love to have this for my wedding too!! (IF i am going to married.. =.=" )

Subsequently, we have hair show presented by A Cut Above, Winnie Loo and her team. What i can say is that her concept is more to futuristic and exaggerate- neon colors, mile high shoes (like wearing a bricks), super huge mosquito nets, lady gaga look, and also bubbles coming out from the wig.

In contrast, Lois Lee hair show works on colors. Vibrant colors that bring out the essence of color blocking. One thing i don't like about Lois Lee's part is that, the models just walked too fast and did not pause a little bit longer for the photographers to snap a photo. Such a pity. :(

After the shows, it's party time!!! :D The scene was decorated in the 60's Shanghai look. Too bad my camera died immediately after the show finished!! FML. Anyway, thanks you friends that were there and helped us to take a picture.

Me & Wilee on the ancient Shanghai bed. Thank you Kee Hua Chee for this photo! I got this from his blog

Overall, it was a great experience for me. I used to be the hair show model that catwalk on the stage to show case the master piece of the hairstylist. Now, i have this opportunity to sit down at the audience crowd and see the show. Fantastic feeling! :)

Well done, STYLO!
